Beginning in 1974, Ashi started as a coffee shop in the Tokyo, Kuramae area. Operating in the the same neighborhood from the 1970s through the 1990s as a coffee shop in Kuramae, Ashi relocated to Asakusabashi in 2007. In 2015, after 41 years, a new Ashi location has sprouted again in Kuramae, focusing on teishoku dining and welcoming diner style comfort . Inheriting the good old style of the original Ashi, the new location adds contemporary charm and a fresh daily menu.

Ashi offers a daily set menu of fish or meat, a wide variety of coffee, cocktails and dessert in an inviting space. During daytime enjoy lunch in the evening enjoy dining and drinks whether alone or with someone special. Ashi is also available for chartered parties.
